SAN MARCOS, Texas – Little Rock's women's track program saw
Ka'Neisha Jackson and
Shanieke Watson each qualify for the finals in their respective events at the Sun Belt Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Friday night at Texas State.

Watson was the evening's first qualifier as she finished fifth in the 1500-meter prelim with a time of 4:34.51. Her time was the seventh-fastest in program history and was just .38 seconds off the leading time. The 1500-meter final will take place on Sunday at 5:15 p.m.

Jackson qualified for the 400-meter hurdles final as she finished eighth in the prelim with a time of 1:03.35. Sunday's final will take place at 6:40 p.m.

Jessica Gray was the only other Trojan to compete on Friday evening as she placed 25th in the 200-meter prelim with a time of 25.49.

Little Rock's women will compete in the long jump, the 400 prelim, the 100 prelim and the 3,000-meter steeplechase final on Saturday beginning at noon. Live coverage of the day's track events will begin at 6:30 p.m. on ESPN3.
