LITTLE ROCK – Little Rock Athletics has announced the promotion of Darius Maize as the Trojans' Director of Internal Operations.

In this role, Maize will work closely with the department's senior staff and assist with daily administrative activities while also overseeing game day operations. Maize will also be responsible for collaborating with the campus community while handling special projects for the Department of Athletics.

"We are thrilled to announce Darius Maize as our new Director of Internal Operations," said Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics Chasse Conque. "Darius has a deep understanding of Trojan Athletics and has done an excellent job for the department this past year. His work ethic, coupled with his passion for college athletics and the city of Little Rock make him a great fit for his new role."

Maize joined the department in the summer of 2017, serving as an internal operations assistant while he pursued his master's degree in sport administration from Arkansas State. Maize has assisted throughout the department during the past year, helping coordinate special events while helping manage the day-to-day responsibilities along with Trojan game days.

A native of Little Rock, Maize is a graduate of Hall High School. He graduated from Baylor University in 2015 with a degree in athletic training and will graduate with his master's degree from Arkansas State later this month.
