Trojans Part of Continental Tires Las Vegas Event

LITTLE ROCK – Little Rock will be one of a number of teams competing in the 2018 Continental Tire Las Vegas Holiday Invitational as the Trojans will play four games from November 16-24 as part of the event.

The first two games of the event take Little Rock on the road as the Trojans will head to Reno, Nevada, to face Nevada on Friday, November 16. A Sweet 16 team from the 2018 NCAA tournament, the game against the Wolf Pack marks the first meeting the two schools and the first time Little Rock will play a game in the state of Nevada since 2015.

The Trojans then head west to Oklahoma, facing Tulsa on Monday, November 19.  Little Rock and Tulsa meet for the 11 time overall with the two teams splitting the first 10 games of the series. The Trojans have won the last two meetings between the two, taking a 72-62 victory in Little Rock in 2016 after a 64-60 win in Tulsa in 2015.

The tournament will then shift to Little Rock for the final two games, bringing Howard, Cal Baptist and Arkansas-Pine Bluff to the Jack Stephens Center for a pair of doubleheaders. The Trojans will square off with Howard on Friday, November 23, with Cal Baptist and UAPB taking on each other in the early game of the doubleheader. Little Rock then faces either Cal Baptist or UAPB on Saturday, November 24, depending on the results from Friday's action.

Little Rock has never faced either Howard or Cal Baptist as the Lancers begin their transition to a Division I program in 2018-19.  The Trojans are 14-5 all-time against UAPB and have won their last 10 against the in-state rivals, the last of which came in a 67-52 victory at the Jack in 2016.

Game times, as well as ticket options for the Thanksgiving weekend doubleheaders will be finalized soon as season ticket members will be able to attend all four games of the weekend slate. Season tickets are available by contacting the Trojan ticket office at 565-8257.
