Box Score OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - Dane Watts had 20 points and 10 rebounds and Creighton held Arkansas-Little Rock to one field goal in the first 10 minutes on the way to an 80-61 victory on Saturday.
The Bluejays (9-1), who won their third game of the week, are off until they open Missouri Valley Conference play next Saturday at home against Illinois State. Arkansas-Little Rock (9-2), which had matched the best start in school history, saw its seven-game winning streak end.
The Trojans didn't score their first field goal until almost eight minutes into the game, when De'Andre Eggins threw an inbound pass off a Creighton player's back to himself for an uncontested dunk.
By then, the Bluejays were up by seven points en route to an 18-point halftime lead.
Creighton's 80 points were the most allowed by the Trojans this season. The Bluejays converted Arkansas-Little Rock's 21 turnovers into 33 points.
A steal by Kaleb Korver started a fast break that P'Allen Stinnett finished with a crowd-pleasing alley-oop dunk, giving Creighton its biggest lead, 68-45, with 5:13 left. Stinnett finished with 11 points.
Josh Dotzler tied a career-high with five steals for the Bluejays.
Eggins had 19 points and Terrance Akins added 16 for the Trojans.
