LITTLE ROCK, Ark.?The UALR cheerleading squad placed sixth at the National Cheerleaders Association Collegiate Cheer Championships on Friday. The Trojans competed in the small coed division.
The squad was one of 11 teams to make it to the finals after preliminary competition on Thursday. The Trojans recorded a score of 8.689 and finished fifth going into the finals.
UALR recorded a score of 8.782 in the finals for sixth place. The University of Louisville took the top spot with a score of 9.236.
The Trojans were the only Sun Belt school to make it to the finals.
To compete in the small coed division, teams have to have no more than four male cheerleaders on your total team of 20.
