ST. LOUIS – The UALR swimming and diving team concluded its second weekend of swimming with a win against Lincoln College (146-9) and another loss to Saint Louis (140-64).
Junior Megan Scott earned the Trojans' first victory of the day by scoring 236.50 in the 1-meter dive by a margin of .05.
Freshman Emma Doll won the 100-yard freestyle in 55.32, beating out the competition by .03 of a second. Doll also finished second in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:00.32.
UALR's third victory of the day came in the 400-yard relay with the team of Doll, sophomore Courtney Coe, freshman Tori Fryar, and junior Valeriya Teplova finishing with a time 3:38.73.
Freshman Courtney Goff finished second in the 50-yard free style by touching the wall in 25.08, .04 of a second behind the winner.
Coe finished right behind Goff in third with a time of 25.34.
Sophomore Jinson Kang placed second in the 400 IM with a time of 4:38.81. Kang also placed third in the 200-yard fly, touching the wall in 2:14.91
Freshman Tori Fryar finished the 200-yard backstroke in second, with a time of 2:14.23.
Freshman Nuria Gallego Murcia placed second in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:28.12.
Sophomore Kayla Grimm placed fourth in the 400-yard IM with a time of 4:51.52. Grim also finished fifth in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:18.38.
Freshman diver Samantha Gray finished fourth in the 1-meter dive with a score of 206.40.
Freshman Meghan Everett placed fifth in the 1000-yard freestyle, touching the wall in 11:19.25, and sophomore Stephanie Lauer finished right behind her in sixth with a time of 11:34.16.
Senior Meghan Petersen finished sixth in the 50- and 100-yard freestyles with times of 26.31 and 57.92, respectively.
Teplova placed sixth in the 200-yard freestyle, touching the wall in 206.37.
In the first event of the afternoon, the team of Fryar, Gallego Murcia, Coe, and Teplova finished second in the 400-yard medley relay with a time of 4:04.92.
UALR will return to action in two weeks as they travel to Conway, Ark., for the Hendrix Classic on Saturday, Nov. 1 starting at 11:30 a.m.
