ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – The UALR swim team downed Ouachita Baptist 116-62 after winning all 11 events in Saturday's meet.
The first win of the day took place in the 400-yard medley relay with the team of Tori Fryar, Nuria Gallego Murcia, Courtney Coe and Valeriya Teplova earning the victory with a time of 4:03.54.
The second event saw Meghan Everett take the win in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 11:22.92, while teammate Stephanie Lauer took second with a time of 11:40.58.
Freshman Tori Fryar took the win in the 200-yard freestyle, winning by nearly six seconds with a time of 1:56.42.
Freshman Emma Doll won the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 25.48 while teammates Meghan Petersen and Cassandra Sanchez finished in the third and fourth with times of 26.69 and 27.07, respectively.
Sophomore Jinson Kang picked up the win in the 200-yard individual medley, touching the wall in 2:16.42 seconds. Fellow sophomore Kayla Grimm took second with a time of 2:20.79.
Sophomore Courtney Coe took the sixth event of the day with a time of 58.68 in the 100-yard butterfly.
Senior Valeriya Teplova won the 100-yard freestyle by almost two seconds with a time of 54.11.
Freshman Courtney Goff picked up the win in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:03.32.
After winning the 200-yard IM, Kang was once again victorious in the 500-yard freestyle, taking first by almost eight seconds with a time of 5:17.48.
Freshman Nuria Gallego Murcia took the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:10.27, nearly five seconds over second place.
The Trojans capped off the day with a win in the 400-yard free relay as the squad of Teplova, Fryar, Doll and Coe finished in 3:38.71 seconds.
UALR will compete in its final regular-season meet at home against Henderson State in the Donaghey Aquatic Center on Jan. 31 at 10 a.m. Seniors Meghan Petersen, Alexis Stone, and Valeriya Teplova will be recognized before the beginning of the meet.
