Live VideoLITTLE ROCK – With its first home meet out of the way, Little Rock swimming and diving travels to Pensacola, Fla., to face West Florida, Tulane and Air Force beginning on Friday at 5 p.m., before wrapping up on Saturday at 3 p.m.

"It will be a big road trip down to Pensacola, and we are excited to visit West Florida for the first time," head coach
Amy Burgess said. "With West Florida being a newer program, coach Hancock has done a great job in a short amount of time there, and they'll will be a good match for our team."

Tulane comes into the meet ranked 43rd by CollegeSwimming.com after taking a 210-82 loss in last weekend's season opener at LSU. Air Force had similar results as it lost 129-171 to New Mexico in its season opener at home.

"This will also be our first time going up against the Air Force Academy and will be our third meeting with Tulane," Burgess said. "Both programs are very strong, and they're going to help us in raising to the level of strong competition."

The Trojans split their meet with Saint Louis and Henderson State last weekend while taking victories in 10 events.

Sophomore
Tori Fryar earned two wins in the 500- and 1,000-yard freestyles with times of 5:04.79 and 10:30.88, respectively. Fryar wasn't alone with two victories as
Courtney Coe picked up wins in the 100- and 200-yard butterflys with times of 58.18 and 2:09.75, respectively.

Other Trojans picking up wins were
Samantha Gray in the one-meter dive,
Emma Doll in the 100-yard freestyle,
Laura Ruiz Astorga in the 200-yard backstroke, and
Jinson Kang in the 400-yard individual medley. Little Rock also picked up relay wins in the 200-yard medley and 200-yard freestyle.

"Last weekend was a great home opener, and we hope to continue the momentum this weekend on the road," Burgess added.

After this weekend, Little Rock will have three weeks to prepare for conference-foe Evansville on Nov. 7 in Evansville, Ind.
