MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Little Rock volleyball earned its third win of the season after sweeping Tennessee Tech in three set (25-19, 25-20, 25-15) on Friday evening.

The third and final set saw the Trojans lead for the vast majority of the frame. After an early 4-4 tie, Little Rock started to pull away. With an 8-7 lead, Little Rock scored three consecutive points on a kills by
Miona Milovanovic, an ace by
Priscila Almeida and a kill by
Edina Selimovic. After a TTU kill, Little Rock got three straight points one two kills by Selimovic and a Golden Eagle attack error to extend the lead to 14-8. The Trojans pushed their lead to eight points at 18-10 with a kill by
Marina Avram. Freshman
Veronica Marin pushed the lead to nine points at 21-12 with a kill, and then Avram struck again with a kill to push the lead to double digits at 22-12. Little Rock pushed its lead to a commanding 12 points at 24-12 with two Tennessee Tech attack errors. After a three-point flurry by the Golden Eagles, a kill by
Megan Mathis put the set and match away at 25-15.

The second set was similar to the first as both teams remained tied up until midway through the frame. Tied 14-14, Little Rock scored four straight points to take an 18-14 lead. Tennessee Tech battled back to bring the set to within a point at 19-18 and again at 20-19. After a kill by
Miona Milovanovic and a TTU attack error, the Golden Eagles took their final timeout of the set with the Trojans up 22-19. Little Rock took the set 25-20 after a kill by Milovanovic, a Tennessee Tech attack error and a final kill by Selimovic.

The first set was tightly contested as both squads remained tied up until 11-11. Down 11-10, Little Rock went on a five-point run, taking a 15-11 lead. The Trojans retained the lead for the rest of the set, staying ahead by at least two points. Little Rock's largest lead of the set came as the Trojans won the set by a score of 25-19 after a Golden Eagles attack error. Little Rock dominated the set with 18 kills and a .277 hitting percentage compared to Tennessee Tech's 10 kills and .162 hitting percentage. Selimovic ended the set with six kills, while Mathis hauled in 12 assists and four kills.

Selimovic ended the match with 14 kills and a .478 hitting percentage.

Marin posted a career-high nine kills with two blocks and a .300 hitting percentage.

Milovanovic finished up with eight kills and a career-high attack percentage of .412.

Avram tallied eight kills with eight digs and two blocks.

Mathis hauled in 40 assists with six kills, seven digs and a block while hitting .545 on 11 attempts.

Carolee Dillard posted five kills with three blocks.

Priscila Almeida led the Trojans with 12 digs, while
Sydnee Martin and
Kelsey Leech came in with 10 and eight, respectively.
The Trojans hit a season-high .345 against the Golden Eagles .135, while also dominating in the kills department with a 50-32 margin.

Little Rock will continue the Memphis Invitational on Saturday with matches against UAPB at 2 p.m. and Memphis at 7 p.m.
