LITTLE ROCK – Starting today, each Monday will include a segment of Little Rock's new feature, "Meet Your Trojans." The feature will include questions and answers with a different student-athlete each week in an effort to help you better know your Trojans.
First is
Josh Hagins, a senior and health science major on the men's basketball team from Bossier City, La. Little Rock opens its season Nov. 14 at the Jack Stephens Center. Season ticket packages starting at $99 are on sale now through LRTrojans.com, or by calling 565.UALR.
What are your favorite things to do in Little Rock? I like to bowl every now and then. I like to go see movies here and there. We've gotten big into ping pong. And I just like relaxing, staying on top of what I have to do.
What's something most people don't know about you?
I won a state chess championship in Arkansas in fourth grade. In elementary you don't have sports teams, just clubs, so it was the only thing I could do competitively. I still play, and I'm still decent, but not as good as I used to be.
What's the best advice you've received?Â
Being a senior, the best advice I've received was the speech Derek Fisher gave to us about time, and how you don't get time back. I thought back to signing here, and how time has flown by since then.
What's your favorite home-cooked meal?Â
My mom makes those enchiladas. They don't last long because my brother devours them. But those with ketchup and a Coke, and I'm good to go.
What's the best reason people should attend your team's games?
It's a new year. We've got a lot of talent. We're going to play hard start to finish. With the talent we have and with the amount of effort we're going to put in, there's no reason we shouldn't win.
