LITTLE ROCK – Little Rock caps a three-game home stand when it welcomes Appalachian State to the Jack Stephens Center Thursday night. Tipoff is set for 7:15 p.m.
Â
Thursday will be a White Out at the JSC. Fans are encouraged to wear white, and white T-shirts will be passed out to entering fans while supplies last. The Trojans Team Store will be selling white T-shirts for $8 through both games of Thursday's doubleheader.
Â
The Trojans are coming off a pair of home victories last week against Louisiana and ULM.
Lis Shoshi was instrumental in the wins, averaging 11.0 points, 7.5 rebounds and 1.0 block on 56.3 percent shooting over both games.
Â
A win over Appalachian State would give Little Rock nine straight wins in the Jack Stephens Center dating back to last season, which would establish a new program record. Little Rock, who is now 6-0 at home, has only won its first seven games of a season at the JSC once before (2012-13). The Trojans also have a chance to match their best-ever Sun Belt start at 5-0.
Â
Coming off a 76-56 win over Texas State on Saturday, Appalachian State enters Thursday's game against Little Rock with a 3-12 overall record and a 1-3 mark in Sun Belt Conference play. The Mountaineers are still searching for their first road win of the season. The win over the Bobcats snapped a nine-game losing skid for Appalachian State.
Â
Frank Eaves, a Preseason Second Team All-Sun Belt pick, leads the Mountaineers and the Sun Belt Conference in scoring at 20.2 points per game. Eaves has scored in double figures in all but one game this season and is coming off a 30-point performance on 10-of-16 shooting against Texas State. The 6-2 guard ranks second in the league in 3-point percentage (.435).
