LITTLE ROCK – With the 2015-16 season narrowing down, Little Rock swimming and diving will compete in its final home meet of the regular season against North Texas, Ouachita Baptist and conference-foe Southern Illinois on Saturday at 11 a.m., in the Donaghey Aquatic Center.

North Texas comes into Saturday with two straight wins. The Mean Green took down San Diego last Saturday and took a first-place finish in the Incarnate Word Invitational in mid-December. Southern Illinois' last meet as a team took place in mid-November as the Salukis took a seventh-place finish at the Purdue Invitational. Ouachita Baptist comes in with two straight losses to West Florida and Delta State.

"This is a big weekend for us bringing in Southern Illinois, North Texas and Ouachita Baptist," head coach Amy Burgess said. "It is always great to go against conference competition, especially a team like Southern Illinois who could contend for a team title this season. North Texas is an old conference foe, and we are excited to welcome them back to Little Rock. Ouachita Baptist is also making big strides this season and comes with a strong freshman class.

The Trojans took advantage of the winter break by taking in some training in Puerto Rico to prepare for the final leg of the season.

"The team is ready to put its hard work to the test after not competing for a few weeks and going through some intense winter break training. As we inch closer to the conference championship, we're focusing more on details and increasing our speed. Stepping up our competition helps us to prepare, and it makes us a better team."

After the Trojans meet with Vanderbilt at the end of December, Little Rock swept the Missouri Valley Conference's Swimmer and Diver of the Week awards. Samantha Gray earned her second Diver of the Week award this season after posting a new personal best in the three-meter dive with a score of 274.20. Tori Fryar took home her first-career Swimmer of the Week honor with three third-place finishes in the 50-, 200- and 500-yard freestyle events.

After the completion of Saturday's meet, Little Rock will prepare for its final regular-season meet at Henderson State on Jan. 30.
