ScoresLITTLE ROCK – In its final home meet of the season, Little Rock swimming and diving earned a win over Ouachita Baptist (190-87), but suffered two losses to North Texas (209-86) and Southern Illinois (206-87) on Saturday at the Donaghey Aquatic Center.

Freshman
Laura Ruiz Astorga took home second place in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 58.79.
Shayna Underwood finished fourth while
Courtney Goff and
Madison Brown came in 11th and 12th, respectively. Ruiz Astorga later finished second in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:08.33. Underwood finished seventh while
Kayla Grimm and Goff finished 12th and 13th.

Two-time Missouri Valley Diver of the Week
Samantha Gray had a pair of second-place finishes in the one- and three-meter diving events. Gray scored 237.50 in the one-meter event and finished with a score of 239.25 in the three-meter event.

The Trojans earned another second-place finish in the 400-yard freestyle relay as the team of
Emma Doll,
Courtney Coe,
Tori Fryar and Ruiz Astorga posted a time of 3:36.97. The squad of Goff,
Ann Kharlamova,
Cassie Sanchez and
Imre van Huyssteen came in sixth, and the group of
Kara Knapschaefer,
Nuria Gallego Murcia, Grimm and
Chelsea Ebert finished eighth.

Fryar took third in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:29.09, her fastest in the event this season and second-fastest of her career. Grimm,
Anela Everett and
Steph Lauer finished 10th, 11th and 12th, respectively.

Coe finished third in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 58.04. Sanchez took 10th as the only other Trojan in the event. Coe then finished fifth in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:10.34 as
Jinson Kang took seventh.

Kang earned a third-place finish in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:12.17. Underwood ended up taking 11th for the event.

van Huyssteen took fourth in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:29.83.
Jinson Kang finished less than three-seconds behind her in sixth. van Huyssteen took seventh in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:10.41 as the Trojans' only swimmer in the event.

In the first event of the day, Little Rock took fifth in the 200-yard medley relay as the squad of Ruiz Astorga, Gallego Murcia, Coe and Doll finished with a time of 1:50.99. The other team of Underwood, Kang, Sanchez and Goff finished ninth.

Doll tied for fifth in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 24.99. Knapschaefer, Sanchez and Gallego Murcia finished behind her in 10th, 14th and 16th respectively. Doll later finished ninth in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:01.90 as Ebert and Kharlamova came in 12th and 13th.

After an earlier third place finish, Fryar earned fifth in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:10.34. Brown and Everett finished 11th and 13th, respectively. Fryar went on to take ninth in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 55.65 as Kharlamova, Knapschaefer, Gallego Murcia and Ebert rounded out the field.

Little Rock now has two weeks to prepare for its final regular-season meet at Henderson State on Jan. 30.
