Little Rock Rolls to 100-61 Win Over Ozarks

LITTLE ROCK – Little Rock hit the century mark at home for the first time since 2011 with a 100-61 win over the University of the Ozarks on Monday night at the Jack Stephens Center. The win improved the Trojans to 2-0 on the season.
 
The win also pushed Little Rock's home win streak to 18 games dating back to the end of the 2014-15 season.
 
Maurius Hill matched his career high with 20 points on a perfect 8-of-8 effort from the floor. Hill added eight boards and a block in 24 minutes. A day after matching his career best, Kemy Osse set a new career high with 17 points on 6-of-9 shooting, including a 4-of-7 effort from 3.
 
Andre Jones (14), Marcus Johnson Jr. (14) and Jalen Jackson (12) gave Little Rock five players in double figures.
 
Little Rock finished the game with a 38-24 edge in points in the paint and a 28-14 cushion in points off turnovers. The Trojans led 12-0 in second-chance points and 12-2 in fast-break scoring.
 
The Trojans finished the game shooting 59.6 percent from the floor and connected on 11 of 25 3-pointers. The team assisted on 21 of 34 made baskets.
 
Little Rock outscored Ozarks 53-26 after halftime, making 8 of 14 3-pointers and 13 of 16 free throws after intermission. The Eagles were held to 10-of-28 shooting after the break.
 
The Trojans took a 47-35 lead into halftime after making 18 of 30 shots from the floor over the first 20 minutes. Hill paced Little Rock with 14 points on a perfect 6-of-6 effort from the floor. He added a team-high seven boards in the first half.
 
Ozarks scored 35 points while shooting 53.8 percent before halftime. Josh Berard and Jace Richardson scored eight points each to lead the Eagles.
 
Berard and Richardson finished the game with 17 and 16 points, respectively.

Little Rock is back in action Friday vs. Idaho at the Jack Stephens Center. Tipoff is 6:30 p.m.
