LITTLE ROCK – In its final home meet of the season, Little Rock swimming and diving earned a 177-118 win over Evansville on Saturday afternoon at the Donaghey Aquatic Center. The Trojans earned 11 event wins for the day and improved to 5-1 in dual-meet action this season.

Prior to the meet, seniors
Courtney Coe,
Kayla Grimm and
Jinson Kang were honored for their four years in the program.

The meet got off to a great start as Little Rock took the win in the 200-yard medley relay as the team of
Savannah Fissenden,
Nuria Gallego Murcia, Coe and
Emma Doll finished with a time of 1:48.25.

Tori Fryar won the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:25.92 — her second-fastest as a Trojan and fastest time since 2014.
Rachel Maradyn placed second and Grimm came in fourth.

The 200-yard freestyle saw
Laura Ruiz Astorga win with a personal-best time of 1:56.80.
Charis Won finished fourth for the event.

Imre van Huyssteen won the 50-yard breaststroke with a time of 31.30 while teammates Gallego Murcia and
Ginger Bryant placed second and third.

Samantha Gray qualified for the NCAA Diving Zone D Championships with a solid day on the diving board. Gray won the one-meter dive with a score of 272.17 — her second-best score in the event as a Trojan. Gray also won the three-meter competition with a score of 266.84 — her second-best career score.

Isabelle Finzen won the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 58.89. Kang placed second with a personal-best time of 1:00.27 while
Ashley Strohmeyer finished fourth.

Gallego Murcia won the 100-yard breaststroke with a season-best time of 1:08.05. Bryant placed second while
KateLin Carsrud finished fifth.

In the 500-yard freestyle, Fryar earned another win as she finished with a time of 5:07.29. Maradyn placed second with a personal-best time of 5:15.32, and
Anela Everett finished fifth with a season-best time of 5:30.77.

After winning the 50 back, van Huyssteen won the 200-yard individual medley with a personal-best time of 2:09.49. Little Rock owned the event's top five finishes as Ruiz Astorga, Kang, Finzen and Bryant placed second through fifth.

The Trojans finished the day with a win in the 200-yard free relay. The team of Coe,
Courtney Goff,
Saidya Kistow and Doll finished with a time of 1:38.68.

Fissenden placed second in the 50-yard backstroke with a time of 28.05. Teammate
Jessie Baldwin finished fourth with a time of 28.95

The 50-yard freestyle had
Emma Doll take second with a time of 24.37 — a season-best time for the junior. Ruiz Astorga and Coe finished fourth and fifth, respectively.

Doll took another second-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 53.40. van Huyssteen came in third with a personal-best time of 53.41 while Kistow earned fourth-place with a season-best time of 55.41.

Finzen placed second in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:00.29 — .07 of a second off her season-best time. Baldwin took fourth for the event while Won came in sixth.

Coe came in third in the 50-yard butterfly with a time of 26.72 while
Cassie Sanchez finished fifth.

Little Rock will now have two weeks to prepare for the Kansas Classic taking place from Nov. 18 to Nov. 20 at the Capitol Federal Natatorium in Topeka, Kansas. There, the Trojans will face Kansas, Iowa State, Nebraska, Northern Arizona and Northern Iowa.
