LITTLE ROCK – Little Rock had four double-figure scorers and shot 53.7 percent from the field in an 81-53 exhibition victory over UA Monticello at the Jack Stephens Center on Tuesday night.

Jalen Jackson was the Trojans' top scorer with 16 points and also added six rebounds.
Marcus Johnson Jr. had 15 points,
Kemy Osse scored 14 and
Maurius Hill tallied 11. Little Rock outrebounded UAM 39-24 and held the Boll Weevils to 14.3 percent shooting from behind the 3-point line.

Little Rock led by 8 points at halftime and consistently held a double-digit lead throughout the second half. A 13-0 run that began with nine minutes remaining in the game gave the Trojans a 22-point lead and put the Boll Weevils away for good.

The Trojans and Boll Weevils were locked in a tight matchup in the early going, with Little Rock holding a narrow 17-15 lead. But over the next 2:30, the Trojans went on a 14-3 run to take a 31-18 lead and put some distance between the teams. That run included two 3-pointers from freshman
Ryan Pippins and baskets from Jackson, Johnson and
Andre Jones.

Little Rock opens the regular season on Saturday afternoon, taking on Central Baptist at the Jack Stephens Center at 3. Tailgating and Homecoming festivities starting at 11 a.m. are set for Saturday's game.
