LITTLE ROCK – In its final regular-season matchup before the conference championships, Little Rock swimming and diving will face Ouachita Baptist on Saturday at 10:30 a.m., in Arkadelphia.
Â
Already with a program-best 5-2 record in dual meets this season, the Trojans can extend that to 6-2 against the Tigers on Saturday.
Â
"We're getting down to the final few weeks, and we're really trying to focus on details," head coach
Amy Burgess said. "We're trying to fix all the little things we've messed up this year that just need improving on."
Â
Little Rock and Ouachita Baptist last faced each other just over a year ago as the Trojans came out on top with a 190-87 win. The Trojans last visited the Tigers in Jan. 2015 and took a 116-62 victory after winning 11 events for the day.
Â
"We're mixing up events this weekend, so we're going to have some people who swim some of their off events, but events that they're still good at," Burgess said. "It gives them a chance to race something different and take a break from the stress of tight and tough events."
Â
After Saturday, Little Rock will conclude the 2016-17 season at the Missouri Valley Conference Championships taking place Feb. 15-18 at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa.
