LITTLE ROCK – Little Rock will try to rebound from Monday's loss when it travels to Appalachian State in its first conference road test of 2016-17 on Saturday. Tipoff is set for 2:30 p.m. (Central) from the Holmes Center in Boone, N.C.

Maurius Hill averaged 12.0 points in the two games to pace Little Rock.
Oliver Black is averaging 8.0 rebounds and has nine offensive boards in two games.

Appalachian State is 5-8 overall and 0-2 in Sun Belt play following losses at Texas State and UT Arlington. The Mountaineers are 4-1 at home, with their lone loss coming against Western Carolina in early December.

Appalachian State is led by Preseason All-Sun Belt pick Ronshad Shabazz, who is scoring 15.7 points per game. Shabazz is the only Mountaineer averaging double figures. As a team, Appalachian State is scoring 77.5 points per game, shooting 42.8 percent and handing out 15.2 assists per game.

Little Rock and App State split the season series in 2015-16. The Mountaineers handed Little Rock one of its three Sun Belt losses last season in Boone. App State made eight 3-pointers and 17 of 21 free throws in the win.
