SAN MARCOS, Texas – Little Rock volleyball fell victim to a 3-0 loss (16-25, 21-25, 16-25) at Texas State on Sunday afternoon at Strahan Coliseum.

Veronica Marin led the Trojans (9-18, 5-10 Sun Belt) with nine kills, a .278 hitting percentage and three total blocks.
Taylor Lindberg tallied 29 assists with six digs, a kill and a block.
Sydnee Martin recorded 19 digs.
Maritza Mesa was close to a double-double as she put down eight kills with nine digs and two blocks.

Madison Daigle led the Bobcats (20-8, 11-2 Sun Belt) with a match-high 12 kills, a .478 hitting percentage and six total blocks. Erin Hoppe led the match with 36 assists, and Micah Dinwiddie recorded a match-high 25 digs.

Little Rock opened the match with a nine-point loss as Texas State's offense hammered it down with 16 kills and a .361 hitting percentage. The Trojans had an early lead at 5-4, but the Bobcats went on a nine-point run to take the lead for good. Mesa led Little Rock with four kills while Lindberg tallied 12 assists. Martin dug up eight digs.

The Trojans looked to have settled in the second set as they had a 13-10 lead midway through the frame, but after a timeout by the Bobcats, Texas State went on an 8-0 run and took the lead for good. Little Rock cut the lead to three at 24-21 with a block by Avram and Marin, but it was too little, too late as a Trojan attack error gave Texas State the set. Mesa led the set with four kills, and Martin had a set-high nine digs. Little Rock had the advantage in kills at 13-11, but it tallied more attack errors at 8-4.

With the third set tied at 12, the Bobcats broke away and took a nine-point win.
Marina Avram led the Trojans with four kills while Mesa put up two block assists.

Avram finished the match with seven kills, three digs and one block assist, and
Mya Robinson ended up with six kills and four digs.

Little Rock will return to the Jack Stephens Center for its final regular-season match against Arkansas State on Friday at 6:30 p.m.
