LITTLE ROCK – Little Rock faces Texas State on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. in Strahan Coliseum. The Trojans are coming off a 69-62 win over Appalachian State on Monday night.

Little Rock will be looking for its first road victory since topping Appalachian State in Boone, N.C., on Jan. 7. Saturday's contest is the first of three straight for the Trojans away from the Jack Stephens Center.

Jalen Jackson averaged 17.5 points on 58.3 percent shooting from the floor and 50 percent from 3-point range in Little Rock's two recent games against Coastal Carolina and Appalachian State. Jackson, who was just 1-of-7 shooting from the floor over his previous three games, has scored in double figures 13 times on the season, including five times in Sun Belt play.

Jackson's production has been a large part of a Little Rock bench that has outscored its opponents' reserves in 10 of the last 12 games. The Trojans are averaging 25.8 bench points over the last 12 games and have scored 20 or more bench points nine times in that span.

Texas State is 13-9 overall and 6-4 in Sun Belt Conference play. The Bobcats will be playing on a week's rest after falling 76-61 at UT Arlington on Saturday, Feb. 4.

Kavin Gilder-Tilbury averaged 16.1 points per game on the season to lead Texas State on offense. The Bobcats boast the top scoring defense in the league (63.4 ppg) and rank second in defensive field goal percentage (.411). Texas State's turnover margin (+3.1) is second best in the Sun Belt.

Little Rock has won three straight against Texas State and leads 8-2 in the all-time series. The Trojans lead 3-2 in games played in San Marcos.

Last season, Little Rock swept the series. Josh Hagins' step-back 3-pointer lifted Little Rock to a 77-74 overtime win in San Marcos. The Trojans won 73-68 at the Jack Stephens Center to clinch its first-ever outright Sun Belt Championship.

Both of the last two games in the series at Texas State have ended on buzzer-beaters. In addition to Hagins' game-winner last season, D.J. Brown hit a step-back 3-pointer to give Texas State a 77-74 win in double overtime in Jan. 2015.

Head coach Danny Kaspar is in his fourth season at Texas State.
