LITTLE ROCK – Little Rock began its spring semester competing against in-state rival Ouachita Baptist and conference opponent Southern Illinois.
Imre Van Huyssteen claimed one of Little Rock's two first-place finishes in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 53.33. She also claimed a third-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle.
Tori Fryar took the other first-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:04.34.
Samantha Gray earned a season-best score with a 252.82 in the one-meter dive, earning her a third-place finish. Gray also earned a third-place finish in the three-meter diving event with a score of 248.85.
Sierra Thain took fifth place in the one-meter dive with a score of 233.61.Â
Isabelle Finzen improved her personal-best time in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:11.45 and earned a fourth-place finish.
Lily Kerr also improved her personal-best time in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:19.34.
Laura Ruiz Astorga posted a second-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke with a 59.60 time while
Jessie Baldwin took fifth a time of 1:02.07
Little Rock claimed its best relay finish of the day in the 200 free relay with a second-place time of 1:38.84 while also taking third with a 1:42.12 time.
Little Rock will host Ouachita Baptist again on Jan. 27 along with SEC opponent Vanderbilt at the Donaghey Aquatic Center.Â
