Veronica Marin was named to the CoSIDA Google Cloud Academic All-District First-Team, the College Sports Information Directors of America announced today.
The Tulcea, Romania native is an International Business major and currently holds a 3.97 GPA. She's the second Trojan to earn the distinction (Edina Begic, 2013 First Team and 2014 Second Team) and the first Little Rock volleyball player to win Sun Belt Player of the Year in the same season.
Marin is the nation's block leader, collecting 177 so far this season, and has the sixth best blocks per set average in the country, 1.57.
The Trojans are back in action tomorrow, Nov. 16, at the Sun Belt Conference Tournament in Atlanta, Ga. Little Rock will play the winner of UTA and Troy at 6:30 p.m. CT.
