ARKADELPHIA, Ark- The Little Rock swimming and diving team picked up their first win in dual-meet competition when they defeated Ouachita Baptist 129-63 Saturday morning.

The Trojans started off the meet with a great performance from
Charis Won,
Palmer Ristroph, Carolyn Godwin and
Regan Lawrence in the 200-yard medley relay, where they took home a first-place finish. Little Rock would take the top two spots in the event as
Laura Ruiz Astorga,
Imre van Huyssteen,
Lindsey Butler and
Ann Kharlamova would finish right behind their teammates with a time of 1:51.78.

Claire Bristow finished first in the 1000-yard freestyle, posting a time of 10:44.44 to grab nine points for her team.

In the 50-yard freestyle, Kharlamova grabbed a first-place finish with a time of 26.21. Katie White and Alexis Carr would finish second and third respectively in the event.

The Trojans finished one through four in the 200-yard IM as van Huyssteen would touch the wall first with a time of 2:12.71. She was followed by
Lea Zengerling, Won and
Amanda Dreyer.

Little Rock would also take the top four spots in the 100-yard backstroke as Zengerling would notch a first-place finish with a time of 59.28. Butler,
Mia Gibson and Lawrence would round the two through four spots in the event.

Rachel Maradyn took the 500-yard freestyle in convincing fashion with a time of 1:08.38.

In the final event of the day, the Trojans would finish on a high note as the team of van Huyssteen, Butler, Lawrence and Ruiz Astora would win the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:41.50.

The Trojans will compete in one more dual meet before the Missouri Valley Conference Championships. Little Rock will head to Nashville, Tenn. on Feb. 2 to take on Vanderbilt.
