FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Little Rock Cross Country witnessed four runners on the women's side place in the top 50 individually as the Trojans registered a fourth-place finish at the 31
st Annual Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival Saturday morning.

Meanwhile the men's team, which finished 10
th, had two runners register top 25 finishes.
Carter Reynolds ran the 8k race in 26:05.9 to finish 15
th while Ricardo Banks posted a time of 26:19.5 to finish 21
st. This marked the first 8k race of the season for the men's team, the length that will be run at the Sun Belt Conference Championships.
Jordan Edwards led a crop of women's runners that all set season-best times in the 5k race, finishing 25
th with a mark of 19:03.9. Following in 34
th place was
Ariana Garcia with a time of 19:11.8 while
Vianney Sanchez (38
th) and
Hunter Paul (41
st) were within two seconds of each other as Sanchez ran 19:20.7 and Paul finished in 19:22.4.
The appearance at the Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival marked the first competition in three weeks for Little Rock. Now the Trojans will return home to host the Little Rock Open at the War Memorial Course on Oct. 19.
