TOPEKA, Kan. – The Little Rock swimming and diving team wrapped up the Kansas Classic this afternoon, highlighted by a new school record in the 200 butterfly by
Fer Moussier. The freshman also finished as a member of the All-Invitational Team, as voted by the coaches at the meet. The Trojans will take the next month and a half to train and will return home on Saturday, January 18 for a tri-meet.

200 Backstroke
Freshman
Fernanda Gamez represented the Trojans in the 200 back after posting a 2:08.91 in the morning, a season best by approximately seven seconds. She finished seventh in the C final for 23rd place overall. Four Little Rock swimmers showed up in the D final, where senior
Jessie Baldwin won the heat with a season-best 2:08.87. Senior
Charis Won took 27th in 2:10.06, sophomore
Lea Zengerling finished 29th at 2:10.67, and senior
Amanda Dreyer clocked in at 2:12.75 for 30th.
100 Freestyle
Sophomore
Carolyn Godwin sprinted to a lifetime-best 52.42 in the shortest event of Sunday, rounding out a competitive B final to score valuable team points. Freshman
Asmalia Redzuan and junior
Regan Lawrence were both in the C final, with the younger freestyler finishing second in the heat with a 52.83 while the elder swimmer touched the wall at 53.26 for fifth in the race.
200 Breaststroke
Junior
Palmer Ristroph made waves in the scoring B final, placing 16th overall with a season-best time of 2:25.10 from prelims. Senior
KateLin Carsrud and freshman
Aly Grider both made the D final with season-bests: 2:28.18 for Carsrud to place second in the heat and 2:31.42 for Grider to round out the race.
200 Butterfly
Moussier qualified for the elite A final in the 200 fly after a record-breaking 2:03.93 in the morning. In finals, she finished fifth overall – the highest finish for a Trojan all weekend. Freshman
Ashleigh Green cut four seconds from prelims to finals to finish 20th in the C final with a 2:12.88, and was joined in the heat by senior
Rachel Maradyn, who posted a 2:14.18 for 21st.
1650 Freestyle
The mile saw junior
Lily Kerr leading the Trojans with a season-best 18:17.39 for 22nd place. Junior
Ashley Hornbuckle and senior
Alexis McCauley also raced in the timed final, finishing 24th and 25th, respectively.
400 Freestyle Relay
The meet concluded with the 400 free relay. The A team of Redzuan, Lawrence, Moussier, and Godwin combined to finish ninth, dropping over seven seconds from their seed to turn in a time of 3:30.33. The B relay, made up of Won, freshman

Khadijah Brown, and junior
Lexi Carr, also placed well, taking 15th with a time of 3:34.98.
