LITTLE ROCK- Little Rock will host Missouri Valley Conference opponent Evansville for a three-game series starting with a doubleheader on Sunday at 1 p.m. at Gary Hogan Field. Game three will be played Monday at 1 p.m. The Trojans will play four games in three days as they will host Louisiana Tech on Tuesday at 4 p.m. to round out their week of competition

The Trojans will head into the weekend looking for their first win of the season after being swept in their opening series against Creighton and then falling to No. 18 Oklahoma State on Wednesday.

The Bats Are Hot
Little Rock has been seeing the ball well at the plate as they scored 26 runs in their first three games. Freshman
Miguel Soto is leading the team in hitting, posting a .375 batting average in the first four games and also hit his first career home run against Oklahoma State.
Trace Jordan, transfer from Meridian CC, has been another bright spot in the Trojan offense, hitting at a .357 clip with two doubles and three RBI.
Ryan Benavidez and
Christian Reyes are also above the .300 mark, hitting .353 and .333 respectively.

Scouting Evansville
The Purple Aces come into the weekend with a 1-3 overall record and fell to No. 2 Vanderbilt in their previous contest. The foes from Evansville, Ind. are hitting .252 as a team and have scored 21 runs in their four games. On the mound, Evansville have been the beneficiaries of some good starts from their starting pitchers but have posted a 5.18 ERA as a team. On defense, the Purple Aces have only made four errors in their four games.

Scouting Louisiana Tech
The Bulldogs are currently undefeated with a 4-0 overall record heading into the weekend. Louisiana Tech will play a three-game series at Troy before making the trip to Little Rock to take on the Trojans. The Bulldogs have swung that bat well as they have posted a .316 batting average and a whopping 43 runs in their four games. The team has not fared as well on the mound, registering a 6.57 ERA thus far.

The Trojans will head to Natchitoches, La. for a three-game series at Northwestern State starting on March 1 at 6:30 p.m.
