ARLINGTON, Texas- Little Rock's win streak was snapped at six games after UT Arlington defeated the Trojans 11-1 in the series finale Sunday afternoon.

The Mavericks bats caught fire in the contest, notching 12 hits on the day.

Jose Torres was charged with the loss after allowing four runs in one and 1/3 innings pitched.
Nick Perez led the Trojan offense with a 2-for-3 day at the plate.

It was the Mavericks who struck first in the third game of the series, as the hosts put up five runs in the bottom of the second to take a commanding 5-0 lead

UT Arlington rallied for three more in the third to push their lead to 8-0.

Ramon Padilla continued his hot hitting with a base hit to score
Garrett Scott who led off the inning with a single through the left side for the Trojans' lone run of the game.

Aaron Funk came on to pitch in the third inning and was quite impressive in his relief appearance, throwing three innings of scoreless baseball.

The Mavericks pushed across two more runs in the sixth to make the score 10-1 and another in the eighth to end the game due to the 10-run mercy rule.

Little Rock will be back at home for their next contest when they take on UAPB Tuesday, April 9 at 6 p.m.
