LITTLE ROCK- The Trojans will return to Sun Belt Conference action for their final regular season series when they head to Jonesboro, Ark. to take on rival Arkansas State in a three-game set starting May 16 at 6:30 p.m.

Little Rock is currently 25-26 (15-11 Sun Belt) after a midweek victory over Central Arkansas and a series win over conference leaders Texas State. The Trojan pitching staff was superb in their win over the Bears, as the quartet of
Jose Torres,
Aaron Funk,
Mason Leeming and
Dillon Delgadillo held their opponents to just one run in the ball game. In their previous conference series, Little Rock took two of three games from a very hot Texas State team.

Fidel's Dominance
Chandler Fidel earned received Sun Belt Pitcher of the Week honors for his outstanding performance in Friday night's game one win over Texas State, announced Tuesday by league officials. This is the first time the junior has received this honor in his career. Fidel was masterful in his 13
th start of the season, throwing 124 pitches in nine innings of work, allowing just three runs and six hits on the night. The Garland, Texas native fanned 12 hitters, which tied a career high. Fidel leads the conference in innings pitched with 86.1 on the year and ranks third in total strikeouts with 88. The ace has held opposing hitters to a .237 average this season, which is seventh in the conference.

Scouting Arkansas State
The Red Wolves come into this weekend's series with a 25-26 record (11-17 Sun Belt). Arkansas State is coming off a walk-off victory over Ole Miss on Tuesday night, but were swept in their previous conference series against Georgia Southern. The Red Wolves have posted a .258 team batting average with 46 home runs. Sky-lar Culver leads the way with a .325 average and seven home runs. Their pitching staff has registered a 5.16 team ERA. Zach Jackson is slated to start game one, currently sitting at a 4.23 ERA and is 6-4 on the year.

Playoff Time
After this conference series, the Trojans will travel to Conway, S.C. to compete in their fourth consecutive Sun Belt Conference Tournament. The tournament begins on May 21, but seeding of the teams is still to be determined.
