LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – From night to morning. Last week, Little Rock's Cross Country program ran in the twilight of day at the Memphis Twilight but this week the Trojans will flip that with a more traditional morning race at the UCA Cross Country Challenge.
Â
The women's race is set to begin at 8:45 a.m. while the men will run at 9:20 a.m. Both races will take place at Beaverfork Lake Park.
Â
Teams Competing
Little Rock, Central Arkansas, Mississippi Valley, Oral Roberts, Arkansas-Monticello, UAPB, Hendrix, John Brown, LeMoyne-Owen, Lyon, Southern Arkansas and Ouachita Baptist (women only).

Three Things to Know
- Governor's I-40 Showdown
Saturday's race will mark the first competition of the 2019-20 academic calendar year in the Governor's I-40 Showdown, the bragging rights competition between Little Rock and Central Arkansas.
- Different Year, Different Distance
The Trojans will have to be on their game early to repeat the pair of second-place finishes but an added wrinkle changes the dynamic – instead of both races running 5k, the women's race will be a 4k distance while the men will run 6k.
- Will the Young Runners Continue to Excel?
Last week it was the underclassmen that paced the Trojans. With a different distance and a 12-hour time change from last week's starting gun, will the young runners continue to excel or will veterans experience take over? That question will be answered in Saturday morning's race.
