Three Things to Know
- A Second Start
The indoor season may have started back in December but it's been six weeks since that initial meet. After such a long break, it is almost like a new beginning to the season for the Trojans.
- Will More Records Fall?
In that initial meet in December, freshman Tricia Pierce set a new school record in the women's pole vault with a height of 10-8 (3.25m). But Lexi Jacobus is just starting to make her mark on the school's young vaulters and that record will not likely last for long.
- Wright On Time
In December, Elijah Wright came out of the gates fast with a 400m time of 48.77 (adjusted to 48.01 for a banked track). That gives Wright an early lead in the Sun Belt's performance list by more than a half-second. But the season is still young and most of the conference gets into full action this weekend. Wright will have to make an improvement on his mark in order to maintain his conference lead.
