Three Things to Know
- Governor's I-40 Showdown
Saturday's meet will be the first battle for points in the Governor's I-40 Showdown presented by Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield in cross country and the second overall following Thursday's soccer match. The two teams will battle for points again in October at the Little Rock Open.
- Revamped Roster
The Trojans are young this year, and likely to be a bigger threat as the recruiting efforts of the coaching staff has yielded a fresh new group of Trojans ready to improve Little Rock's chances on the course trails. For the men, freshman standouts Spencer Cardinal, Nick Newby, Andrew Payton and Aaron Soltmann bring an impressive pedigree to Little Rock's Team while Alexia Allen, Keila Finnestad and Mia Patria look to move the Trojan Women forward.
- All That is New is Not Young
Not that we're calling Bailey Cronin old, mind you. The women's roster gained immediate depth and experience with the addition of Cronin, a transfer from Oakland University. Boasting a 5K personal best time of 18:57.9 and NCAA Regional experience, Cronin is expected to provide an immediate impact on the Trojans this year.
