Trojans Fall in Exhibition, Season Opener Set for Sunday

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Laura Jansen led Little Rock with 11 kills while Nedima Kamberovic hit .438 but a close match that featured 30 ties and 12 lead changes fell the other way in a 3-0 exhibition match against Missouri State Saturday afternoon.
 
The two teams will meet again on Sunday at 1 p.m. but this time with more on the line; Sunday's match will count towards both teams 2020 records in the first regular season match for both Little Rock and Missouri State.
 
Amelia Flynn led the Bears  with 21 kills while Brooklyn Cink posted a .556 hitting mark.

Beyond the Box Score

• The closely contested match featured 30 tie scores and 12 lead changes. Of the 30 ties, 14 came in the third set.
• Laura Jansen's 11 kills led the Trojans as she hit .233. Jansen posted eight of her 11 kills in the opening frame.
• Little Rock out-blocked Missouri State, 7-6.
• The Trojans had 61 digs to Missouri State's 54 digs.
• Stefanie Anagnostou posted seven kills.
• Zanobia Willis led the Trojans with four total blocks.
