Little Rock Wrestling to Close Home Slate with Quad Dual

LITTLE ROCK - Little Rock will wrestle in its last home action this season on Sunday, Jan. 31, hosting three other teams for an all-day quad dual beginning at 10 a.m. CT. Pac-12 opponents #21 Stanford and #22 Oklahoma will visit the Jack Stephens Center for the first time while South Dakota State will make its second trip to the arena. Tickets are still available for fans that want to watch the action live, with Jason Bryant on the mic. For those that are unable to make it to the Jack, fans can watch all three Little Rock duals online on Little Rock All-Access.

"It's always great being back home," said head coach Neil Erisman, who is coming off of his first two wins as a head coach. "We are looking for our guys to just be consistent in the way we wrestle. Every time we are, we have good results. Should be a really great day of wrestling."

Two mats will be running simultaneously, with the Trojans taking on #21 Stanford at 10 a.m. and #22 Oklahoma facing South Dakota State. At noon, Little Rock will wrestle #22 Oklahoma while #21 Stanford and SDSU will commence on the second mat. The Trojans will face South Dakota State at approximately 2 p.m. to conclude the day while the two ranked teams also battle. Only the Little Rock duals will be streamed.

An all-day access pass to watch all three duals from home is only $9.99. Be sure to also follow @LittleRockWRES on Twitter for live updates.

Little Rock Leaders
With only four duals left in the season, of which three will take place this weekend, two Trojans are at the forefront of the program with five wins on the year apiece: redshirt senior Paul Bianchi and redshirt freshman Gabe Beyer. Beyer also has two conference wins under his belt, while Bianchi will be looking to pick up his second after his five-match win streak was broken last weekend.

Program History Made
Last weekend was monumental for the Little Rock wrestling program, as the Trojans picked up back-to-back dual wins in their first-ever D1 victory over Fresno State followed by their first conference win over Pac-12 opponents CSU-Bakersfield. Read all about the historic day and Coach Erisman's first wins as a head coach here.

One More Pac-12 Matchup
In the final conference dual for the Trojans, Little Rock welcomes #21 Stanford to the Jack Stephens Center for the first time. Last year, the Trojans wrestled Stanford in California, where only Paul Bianchi was able to pick up bout win. This year, Stanford is on a long road swing from California to Little Rock to Oregon that has so far been successful, culminating in a 3-0 streak that includes wins over CSU-Bakersfield and Cal Poly.

A Glance at the Rankings
Both Stanford and Oklahoma are listed on this week's NWCA Coaches Poll, sitting at #21 and #22, respectively. However, South Dakota State may prove to be challenging as well, as the Jackrabbits bested Oregon State this year and blanked Little Rock last year. Individually via FloWrestling, the Sooners have seven wrestlers in the top 25 while South Dakota State has three ranked. Meanwhille, Stanford's slated starters for the weekend have just two.
