LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Little Rock sophomore
Spencer Cardinal recorded his second win of the year as he won the 8K race at the Little Rock Open at War Memorial Park Saturday morning.

Posting a leading time of 25:21.8, Cardinal won the hilly 8-kilometer race and was one of two top-10 finishers for the Trojans.
Aaron Soltmann closely followed, running 26:01.9 to place sixth.

Leading the Trojans in the women's 5K race was
Lindsey Hutcheson, who ran 19:33.5. This marked the second straight race the fifth-year transfer from Southeastern Louisiana has led Little Rock's Team. Hutcheson was followed by
Bailey Cronin, whose time of 19:43.7 earned her an eighth-place finish.

Overall, Little Rock's women finished second with 41 points, trailing only Central Arkansas (32 points). On the men's side, the Trojans placed third after scoring 56 points, getting edged by Arkansas State's 50 points. UCA won the men's title with 36 points.

The Little Rock Open marked the end of the regular season for Little Rock's Team. The Trojans now turn their attention to the Sun Belt Championships, which will be held in Mobile, Alabama on Friday, Oct. 29.
