LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – With the women's basketball season less than a month away, coaches around the Sun Belt Conference have offered their prognostications on how the Path to Pensacola will play out, selecting Little Rock to finish fifth in the league's preseason poll.
The Trojans, entering their 19
th season under the direction of legendary head coach
Joe Foley, were picked to finish fifth in the league. Little Rock received 92 votes in the preseason poll, just three votes behind Texas State.
Foley has guided Little Rock to an appearance in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament semifinals in 13 of the past 14 seasons and has led the Trojans to six NCAA Tournament appearances, five WNIT appearances, 10 Sun Belt championships and 12 seasons of 20-plus wins.
The league's coaches voted Troy as the preseason favorite, followed by Louisiana with UT Arlington coming in third. Little Rock finished ahead of App State as the Mountaineers received 87 votes.
Season tickets for the 2021-22 season are currently on sale with ticket memberships as low as $150. Fans that purchase their season tickets by Aug. 1 get free popcorn at every game. Season ticket members also a season parking pass and a 25% off coupon to the Trojan Armory Team Store at the Jack Stephens Center, in addition to other benefits.
Little Rock season ticket holders will be allowed to return to their previously reserved seat locations this year after COVID protocols limited attendance at all Little Rock events last season.
