LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Highlighted by three meets hosted by SEC programs, Little Rock announced its 2021-22 Indoor Track and Field schedule Friday.
The campaign starts with a Dec. 3 meet in Fayetteville for the Woo Pig Classic followed by a return trip to Fayetteville on Jan. 14, 2022 for the Arkansas Invitational. Little Rock will then head to Nashville for the Commodore Challenge hosted by Vanderbilt on Jan. 21-22.
The Trojans will head to Kansas for the Wendy's Pittsburg State Invitational on Jan. 29 before the first of hopefully three consecutive trips to Birmingham, Alabama. Little Rock will compete at the Jaguar Invitational at the CrossPlex in Birmingham on Feb. 6 hosted by South Alabama in what will be a preview of the Sun Belt Conference Indoor Championships, which will be held in the save venue on Feb. 21-22.
The Birmingham CrossPlex will also host the NCAA Indoor Championships on Mar. 11-12. Little Rock native
Johnathan Jones, entering this indoor season as a redshirt sophomore, missed the NCAA Indoor Championship qualifying by one spot last year and looks to break through into the national meet this year.
