LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – As a result of the combination of positive tests, contact tracing and subsequent quarantining of individuals within the Georgia State Men's Basketball program, Little Rock's Jan. 1 game against the Panthers at the Jack Stephens Center has been canceled consistent with Sun Belt Conference COVID-19 protocols.
The Dec. 30 game against Georgia Southern is still on as scheduled and will tip-off at 6:30 p.m. at the Jack Stephens Center.
The Sun Belt Conference announced an updated COVID-19 policy on Wednesday for the league with a minimum threshold of seven (7) student-athletes plus one (1) coach required to play. Since Georgia State does not meet that threshold, the new policy of games being canceled and not rescheduled has been invoked.
