FIVE THINGS TO KNOW

1. Little Rock's 4-3 opening day victory over Oral Roberts marked the second-straight opening day win for the Trojans, adding to 2020's 6-0 win over Illinois State at Gary Hogan Field. It was Little Rock's first win in the state of Oklahoma since the 12-6 win over Oklahoma State in 2018, snapping a six-game skid in the Sooner state.

2. Oklahoma State is the first of four teams on the slate for Little Rock that reached either the NCAA Super Regionals or College World Series in 2019. Following the game against the Cowboys (Super Regional), the Trojans will play three games against Auburn (College World Series) and two each against Arkansas (College World Series) and Ole Miss (Super Regional).

3. Newcomer Noah Dickerson and returner Eldrige Figueroa posted strong starts in the opening series at Oral Roberts, both hitting above .400. Dickerson was 4-for-8 against the Golden Eagles (.500), driving in a team-best three runs while Figueroa was 4-for-9 (.444) with a double and an RBI and a run scored.

4. In addition to Dickerson, four other players made their Little Rock debuts at Oral Roberts. Canyon McWilliams and Chris Prentiss made a pair of starts on the right side of the infield, combining for three hits and a pair of runs scored in the opening day win over the Golden Eagles. On the mound, Jack DeCooman started Monday's game for the Trojans while Chance Vaught came on in relief for his Little Rock debut.

5. Aaron Funk picked up right where he left off in 2020, pitching the first five innings Sunday against the Golden Eagles and allowing just one hit with no runs, no walks and five strikeouts. In his last three starts, dating back to last season, Funk has pitched 23.0 innings and given up just two runs, 10 hits, two walks and 31 strikeouts for a 0.78 ERA.
