LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – After standout performances in Louisiana last weekend, Little Rock will face a stronger challenge Saturday when the Trojans compete at the UCA Cross Country Challenge in Conway.
Â
Both the men and women will run a 5K race with the women starting at 8:45 a.m. and the men starting at 9:20 a.m. The meet will be held at Beaverfork Lake.

Three Things to Know
- The Competition Gets Tougher
Saturday's race is expected to field much tougher competition than the season-opening meet. How will the young Trojans respond? The men's team won with nothing but freshmen and sophomores last week but they will get a much greater test in this upcoming meet.
- New Faces Impact the Women
Little Rock's women were led by a pair of new faces last weekend. Freshman Pangiota Lazarou was the top Trojan finisher while Lindsey Hutcheson, a fifth-year transfer from Southeastern Louisiana, posted a top-10 finish in her first meet in a Little Rock uniform. How will the two follow up that success this weekend?
- Not Quite A Showdown
Although the Trojans will face off against the Bears, Saturday's race will not count in the Governor's I-40 Showdown standings presented by Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield. Those points will be battled for at the Little Rock Open in October at War Memorial Park.
