LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Due to a combination of COVID concerns and injured student-athletes, Little Rock's men's basketball games this week against Arkansas State, both in Jonesboro and at the Jack Stephens Center, have been canceled.
Â
Recently, the Sun Belt Conference announced the updated COVID-19 policy for the league with a minimum threshold of seven (7) student-athletes and one (1) coach required to play. The combination of both injured players and those in COVID protocols for the Trojans leaves Little Rock under that minimum threshold, forcing the cancellation of this week's games. The policy also states that games unable to be played will be canceled and not rescheduled.
Â
Little Rock is scheduled to return to the court with a pair of home games next week, facing Texas State on Thursday, January 20 at 6:30 p.m., followed by UT Arlington on Saturday, January 22 at 2 p.m.
