COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Little Rock opened the match with a 29-27 first set win but couldn't keep the momentum going, falling 3-1 at Tennessee Tech Friday evening at the Eblen Center in Cookeville.

Daria Burrows led the Trojans with 10 kills before exiting the match with an injury becoming the ninth Little Rock player this season to miss action due to injury. Set scores were 27-29, 25-23, 25-10 and 25-16.

Laure Jansen posted eight kills, tallied 11 digs and was one of a trio of Trojans with four blocks in the match.
Zanobia Willis also recorded four blocks (all assisted) to give her 262 block assists for her career and moving her to ninth all-time in program history in that respective category.

Tennessee Tech (13-12, 10-3 Ohio Valley) extended its streak to seven by winning three straight sets after Little Rock (7-19, 4-9) claimed a dramatic opening set in extra points. The Golden Eagles were led by Madolyn Isringhausen's 15 kills while Taylor Dorsey put down 11 kills and hit .409. Morgan Gish added 14 kills.

Little Rock's offense struggled on the night, hitting .048 while hitting into 15 Golden Eagle blocks while the Trojans themselves only were credited with eight total blocks in the match.

The two teams will meet again on Saturday at 2 p.m. with the match airing live on ESPN+.
