NEW ORLEANS – Little Rock's women's cross country team returned to the regional rankings after a little more than a year when the Trojans were listed among the top programs in the South Central Region.

The Trojans were among three Ohio Valley Conference teams to be in this week's regional rankings along with Eastern Illinois (No. 14 in the Midwest Region) and UT Martin (No. 13 in the South Region).

Cross country's rankings, compiled by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), put the Little Rock women ranked 15
th in the South Central region. This is their first ranking this season.

Little Rock was last listed in the regional rankings in the first week of the 2021 season as the Trojans were also rated 15
th. The team was ranked 14
th throughout the entire course of the 2020 season.

Following the fifth week of competition of the 2022 season, newcomer
Matilda Horton still leads the Trojans and is third in the OVC in 5K races this year with a time of 17:49.5. Freshman Kyle Lochtefeld is seventh in the OVC with a time of 18:22.7.
