LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Abbie Smith scored her first career goal – and doubled it less than 10 minutes later – and Little Rock streaked to a 4-0 win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff in front of 512 fans at the Coleman Sports Complex Sunday evening.
The win was not just the first of the season for Little Rock (1-2), but the first career victory for Trojans Head Coach
Kelly Farrell. Little Rock remained undefeated at home against UAPB (2-2) and recorded its 10th consecutive win in the series, shutting out an opponent that defeated Arkansas State earlier this season.
Freshmen

Peyton Urban notched her first career shutout, making three saves in the process.
Smith led the scoring on the day with goals in the sixth and 13
th minutes. The first goal was off her right foot from just inside the box after a pass from
Karina De Paoli. The next resulted from a redirected free kick from
Natalee Geren, who registered her first assist of the season.
The offensive pressure continued into the second half when Thake got her first career goal as she sailed a ball from 30 yards out in the 50
th minute with an assist from
Bronte Peel. The Trojans would strike once more in the 86
th minute with a high arching goal from 25 yards out off the right foot of
Amaya Arias after a pass from Thake.
Little Rock will be back in action this Thursday, Sept. 1 as the Trojans host Oral Roberts at 7 p.m.
