CONWAY, Ark. – Newcomer
Matilda Horton led the Trojans as Little Rock's men and women finished second at the UCA XC Challenge Saturday morning.

Horton, a newcomer from England, ran 17:49.5 to finish third overall in her second American collegiate race.
Kyla Lochtefeld ran 18:22.7 to place seventh while
Ariana Garcia clocked 18:30.2 to finish eighth in the women's 5K race.

The Trojans finished second on the women's side with 35 points, behind UCA's 21 points. The Little Rock men scored 37 points to beat UA-Pine Bluff while Central Arkansas scored 22 points to win.

Andrew Payton led the Trojan men, running 14:47.2 in the men's 5K race while
Spencer Cardinal ran 14:49.6 to finish in the top five for the second consecutive meet.
Zach McPhee, who was the runner-up at the Little Rock Invitational, ran 15:05.1 to finish seventh.

Little Rock returns to the course on Sept. 16 when the Trojans compete at the Texas A&M Invitational in College Station, Texas.
