Three Things to Know
- Youthful Leadership
Through two meets this season, Little Rock has seen newcomers lead the Trojans. Zach McPhee and Kyla Lochtefeld paced the Maroon and Silver in the season-opening Little Rock Invitational on Sept. 1 and then Matilda Horton led the women at the UCA XC Challenge on Sept. 10.
- Don't We Know You?
Little Rock will see some familiar faces this weekend in College Station as Texas State is slated to compete. The Trojans and the Bobcats are former conference mates before Little Rock left for the much more regionally-aligned and travel-conscious Ohio Valley Conference, where nearly the entire league is within a six hour drive of Little Rock's campus. Texas State remains in the Sun Belt with only one conference member less than a six-hour drive from its San Marcos campus.
- First Time Since 2015
When the USTFCCCA's regional rankings came out earlier this week, the Trojans showed that Little Rock's Team has made its mark early on this season. Little Rock's men were ranked 14th in the South Central Regional rankings, marking the Trojans' first appearance in the regional rankings since Oct. 5, 2015.
