COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Little Rock's
Zach McPhee finished 11
th overall and four Trojans overall placed in the top 25 as Little Rock's men posted a third-place finish with the women placing fourth at the Texas A&M Invitational Friday morning.

Both the men's and women's teams beat former Sun Belt rival Texas State along with UTSA and North Texas while the men also defeated TCU in the 10-team cross country meet.

McPhee, who has led the Trojans in two of his first three meets in a Little Rock uniform, placed 11
th overall with a time of 24:49.3 in the 8K race.
Spencer Cardinal ran 25:11.0 to finish 19
th while
Andrew Payton, the reigning Ohio Valley Conference Male Runner of the Week, clocked 25:16.6 to finish 23
rd overall.

On the women's side,
Matilda Horton led the Trojans for the second consecutive meet. Horton, also a reigning Ohio Valley Conference Runner of the Week, ran 19:06.2 in the 5K race. True freshman
Kyla Lochtefeld ran 19:10.5 to finish 26
th while
Brooke Walker, another true freshman, placed 39
th with a time of 19:37.3.

Little Rock continues a busy September with their fourth meet of the month on Sept. 30 when the Trojans travel northwest for the Chile Pepper Invitational in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
