BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Laure Jansen registered 12 kills and Daedrianna Cail hit .455 but the Trojans were out-hit and out-served in a straight set loss at UAB Saturday at Bartow Arena.

Jansen matched a season-high 12 kills in the match and served up two aces in the match, but the Trojans (2-4) once again struggled with a strong serving team as UAB (3-2) tallied 10 aces on the evening.

Daedrianna Cail recorded six kills and posted a team-leading .455 hitting percentage.

All four aces for the Trojans took place in the second set with Jansen serving up two,
Jalynn Robinson with one and
Sophia Reynolds serving up one. Jansen's tally marked a season-high mark from the

Livia Kimura led Little Rock with eight digs while Jansen recorded seven.

UAB was led by Kiana Mack's .500 hitting percentage while Fernanda Maida recorded 13 kills.

Little Rock will return to the Natural State to compete in the Arkansas Invitational in Fayetteville on Sept. 8-9, facing FIU, Arkansas and host Colorado.
