MOBILE, Ala. – Junior
Agatha Alesson opened the season with a 2-under 70 in round one of the USA Intercollegiate, helping guide Little Rock to a tie for seventh among the team leaderboard. The Trojans shot a 3-over 291 over the opening 18 holes, sitting six shots out of the top-five.

Alesson had a strong start to her 2022-23 season, opening the round with 12-straight pars before birdies on four and five, closing with four-straight pars to notch the 2-under 70. She sits tied for ninth among the individual leaders, three shots off the leaders, as her 2-under 70 is one off her career-low 69.

Viktoria Krnacova and graduate student
Kellie Gachaga tied for second among the Trojan scorecard with a 1-over 73 with Krnacova registering three birdies on the afternoon with Gachaga adding a pair.
Katja Mueller posted a 3-over 75 to round out the counting scores for Little Rock while
Anna Dawson closed round one with a 6-over 78.
Little Rock heads into round two tied with Southern Miss for seventh, five shots back of sixth-place ULM (2-under 286). The Trojans hold a one shot lead on ninth-place Middle Tennessee (4-over 292), while trailing fifth-place Arkansas State (3-under 285) by six shots.
Host South Alabama holds the team lead at 11-under 277 after 18 holes, seven shots better than Houston Baptist, Memphis and Western Kentucky (4-under 284) in second. Arkansas State is fifth with ULM rounding out the top-six, just ahead of the Trojans.
Little Rock will tee off beginning at 8 a.m. Sunday morning from hole one, playing with Southern Miss and Middle Tennessee in the round two groupings. Live scoring is available at GolfStat.com.
