LITTLE ROCK, Ark.- Little Rock Soccer falls at home to the Lindenwood Lions with a score 1-2.
The Trojans controlled the ball for most of the first half, but could not find the net. The stalemate was broken in the 38
th minute as Faith Montandon scored from outside of the box. This gave the Lions a 1-0 lead entering halftime.
Just 15 minutes into the second half, Eyglo Thorsteinsdottir secured the 2
nd goal for the Lions upping their lead to 2-0. The red hot Lions then shifted to a defensive strategy as Jordan Hollingsworth would tally 3 saves to solidify the Lions victory.
Despite being down by 2, the Trojans fought hard to chip away at the lead as
Serenity Thake connects with
Sanaa Williams to score the first goal of the match for Little Rock in the 68
th minute.
With a newfound sense of momentum, the Trojans would go on an offensive spree, but ultimately would yield no luck as the result would end in a 1-2 loss.
With conference play in full swing, the Trojans will look to bounce back and get their first conference win of the season this Thursday at SEMO.
