EVANSVILLE, Ind.- Little Rock Soccer defeats the Southern Indiana Screaming Eagles 3-1 to advance to the OVC Semifinals in Cookeville, Tennessee.
What Happened
The first half of the match was as back-and-forth of a match as the Trojans have seen all season. The Trojans just out shot the Screaming Eagles five to four and had one more save.
In the second half, the Trojans pulled away going on a three goal run. The first goal came in the 47th minute from
Sanaa Williams (2) after a flurry of events happened at the goal. Maddy Eisner (1) scored her first goal of the season after placing the ball in the opposite side corner. Eisner's goal would ultimately be the game winning goal. The Trojans' final goal would come from
Jaeda Centeno as she sent a ball through the goalkeepers legs.
What's Next
After winning both games this weekend, the Trojans have secured a spot in the OVC Semifinals at Tennessee Tech. The Trojans will travel to Cookeville, Tennessee this Thursday to take on the number 1 seeded Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles at a time to be announced.
